Breeds & Ages
We work with all ages and breeds such as labradors, golden
retrievers, german shepherd (GSD), spaniels, collies, dobermanns,
rottweillers, terriers as well as any others including cross,
mixed breeds and rescue dogs.
Methods
We use only the most up to date, kind, fair and effective
methods to help train your pets such as clicker training.
We do NOT advocate the use of choke/check chain, spiked or prone
collars or E-collar (electric). Not only as these methods
inhuman but also derogatory in training and behaviour
modification.
Why Training Is Necessary
 Training
is our means of communication with our pets. It is too easy
sometimes to forget that they don't after all speak our
language. Through training (association of a behaviour with a
cues ) our pets can understand better preventing confusion and
negative behaviour.
Our aim is to help promote a contented pet and a happy
owner.
We began working with problem dog behaviour cases but quickly
realised that many of the issues faced could have been prevented
if education and training was available at the start of the
relationship, therefore the puppy class was established to
providing the above together with the critical appropriate puppy
socialisation so required to help prevent fearful and aggressive
dog problems both with humans and with other dogs. With the
great success of the puppy classes owners then asked for more
from which we then created the novice and the advanced obedience
(fun) dog training classes.
In addition to this due to demand because some owner required or
preferred additional assistance whilst the puppy was still in
the critical first five months period we also designed a private
puppy advice and training session called a 'puppy right start',
which is invaluable to those who have their first puppy, cant
attend puppy classes, are having problems with their puppy or
just want to do it right, right from the start.
Through behaviour consultation (both dog and cat), assessment,
personal puppy right start sessions, private training lessons
and classes we aspire to help owners achieve well mannered and
well loved pets.
